A Great Giveaway and some Thanksgiving Prims!!

Hi Everyone!! I just wanted to jump on real quick to let you know about an awesome giveaway going on over @ Aunt Manny’s  Creation!! Speaking of great holiday decor I bought this GORGEOUS Cornucopia from a wonderful and very talented lady named Alexandria over @ NorthWindStar Primitives!! It is so perfectly prim and it it exactly what I was looking for to finish off my Thanksgiving decor!!Is it not Gorgeous!!  I have boughten many things from her and her prices are so reasonable!!  Please go to her blog and click on her Etsy shop, you won’t be disappointed!! :0) I also bought these awesomely primitive Pilgrims from a wonderful lady off from Etsy, I am so very pleased with all my new Thanksgiving decorations!! I feel alot of times we in America skip right over Thanksgiving to get to Christmas and I just think its time to get back to the mind set of Thankfulness!!

Speaking of wonderful talent I also have been buying a few things from Jenn over @ YankeeRidge Primitives and I will show you some of those things in a later post!! Go by and see Jenn and see all her wonderful creations as well!!

Well as I said in my last post I will be listing something I am thankful for in every post , I am so thankful for my wonderful and adorable grandson Logan! He has just brought something into my life that I didn’t even know was missing, it was the contentment of  my family, we get so busy that we forget to stop and be happy in the moment and to really enjoy the little acheivements in life!! Lil’ Man is now standing at the furniture and walking along it as well, it won’t be long and he will be walking on his own!!

Here is the lil’ man standing and eating a biscuit with grampy!! He stood there the whole time eating never once did he fall over!! He is getting braver all the time!! :0)

He is getting a personality all of his own! He is such a ham, his newest thing is dancing while he is standing at the furniture, it is the cutest thing!!! :0)

~Wow 24 years ago today!!~

 Just another fall decorated picture of my Red cupboard that my daughter bought me a few years ago for my birthday!!

I cannot believe it is November already!! Where in the world does the time go??!! Lets see since I “talked” to you last I turned another year older!! and hopefully wiser!!:0)  My compute went capooie!!! (if that is even a word!!LOL) it turns out the hard drive fried!! Well after being on the phone over 4hrs they ended up sending me a new hard drive and I am back up and running!! Unfortuantely I lost alot of pictures I had downloaded!!! Very frustrating!! But oh well what can I do but go on, and I shall(saying very dramatically)!!!

Today is mine and Steve’s 24th wedding anniversary!! It is amazing that, that many years have gone by, we have been through many things but God has brought us through them all!!! We would not be where we are today if it wasn’t for Him!! I thank God for giving me a man who could love me through the hard times so we could and can enjoy the good times together!!

Today is also my mother and stepfather’s 35th wedding anniversary!! We celebrated their  mile stone with a big family dinner last night and it was a wonderful time spent together, sorry for no pictures I forgot my camera!! Mom got pretty emotional but that is too be expected  considering all she is going through. We went for a check up last week with her doctor and the tumor has gotten pretty big in the last 10 months but we are still believing god for her Miracle!! Thank you all again for all your love, support, and prayers they mean so much to all of us!! 

I just cannot get over how quickly October flew by, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner, it is one of my favorite times of the year, as we give Thanks to God for all the blessings in our lives, I know Linda from Behind My Red Door and others are giving at least one thing they are thankful for every time they post and so I think it is a wonderful idea so I am going to join in!!

I am so Thankful to Almighty God for giving us such Grace that we are able to live each day with a new start! I am so thankful to Him for Blessing us with a wonderful and loving family!! :0)

~The Swine flu Has Come To My House!~

  I am sorry it has been a while since I posted but if you are a friend of mine on FaceBook you know that my daughter Kelly has been confirmed with the Swine Flu! Oh I tell you the hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes have become our VERY good friends! She is doing pretty well we are praying the worst of it is over, but she still is pretty worn out and coughs ALOT!  Logan was pretty sick last week but he is doing very well now! :0) Thank you God!! He now has 4 teeth and is pulling himself up to stand by the furniture! He is so adorable and is growing up too quickly!!  I am so sorry to make this so short but I just wanted to check in and let you all know what has been going on here at our house! I pray  you all are doing well and are feeling very Blessed!! :0)

~Fall In New England!~

Good Tuesday Morning ladies! It is a very chilly and rainy Fall  day here in New England! We have had some pretty chilly days but it has been sunny, I just hope we don’t get the snow that the mid states are getting!!

We went for our Fall foliage ride on Sunday and visited Cold Hollow Cider Mill up in Stowe and got some very yummy apple cider doughnuts!! Logan absolutely LOVES cider doughnuts, and he was so adorable eating it!! :0)

~A Yummy Apple Recipe~

Good Friday afternoon ladies!!  I hope you all have had a great week and are looking forward to a wonderful Fall weekend!! :0) I am so looking forward to the weekend, where I have no plans but to take a wonderful foliage ride with my sweet hubby!! I hope to get some great pictures, but I don’t think I am very good with the camera!! LOL But I will try to get some good ones for ya!! Well Colleen over at And Baby Makes Five does a Back- To –School recipe pool every Friday so I thought I would join in and give you this wonderful Apple Brownie recipe I have had since I took Home Ec in 8th grade!!!haha!! Now remember because it is Fall these fat and calories don’t count!!

2 Cups Flour

2 Cups Sugar

2 Tsp. Baking Powder

1 Tsp. Salt

2 Tsp. Cinnamon

2 Eggs lightly beaten

1 cup Butter or Margarine melted

4 Med. size apples peeled, cored, and chopped into chunks

Preheat oven to 350*

Put all dry ingredients in large bowl and mix well, then add eggs and melted butter and mix well, then add apples and mix together. Put into a 9x13 greased pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes.

Thats it! It is such and easy but yet delicious brownie!!! I hope you all enjoy it!!

~Our Little Punkin’~

Good Wednesday morning everyone!! I hope you all have had a great week so far!!

We have had rain on and off most of the week and today we are getting more, oh yay…..can you tell I’m so happy! LOL… It just makes it hard to get up and get going you know?!

We did manage to get to the farm to pick out pumpkins with Logan on sunday during a sunny break!! So here are a few pictures of our own lil’ punkin’

 

Well as you can see he had a great time sitting among all those pumpkins!! :0) He kept playing with that one big pumpkin on his right so that is the one that Grampy bought for him and they will carve it in a few weeks!!

Other then that we really haven’t been doing much because of the weather and Steve has had a hurting shoulder and is now in physical therapy and if that  doesn’t work they will have to do surgery so we are praying the physical therapy will work!!!

We are hoping to get a foliage ride in this weekend to enjoy the beauty that New England is known for!! I hope to be back later this week with a yummy apple recipe for you all to try!! :0)

~Fakeout Soup & A few Fall Decor Pics!~

Good Monday morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and you were able to enjoy this fabulous Fall weather we are having!! We had a great time on saturday at the Harvest Market, it was perfect weather for it!! Then Sunday it was a wet and dreary day so we just stayed home and I made a ham dinner and we then had a quiet night.

So as for my soup recipe you all are not gonna beleve how easy it is to make…it really is a fakeout recipe!!

1/2 lb hamburg or any kind of meat (I have used ham and chicken too).

1 sm onion chopped

1 regular size can of peas and carrots

1 small can of  corn

1 large can of tomato juice

water or broth

put a little olive oil in soup pan cook onion until translucent and then add hamburger, when fully cooked add all cans of veggies(add veggie juice too) then add tomato juice and as much water or broth to dilute the tomato jucie some. Add a little garlic powder and onion powder then some ground pepper, let simmer for as little as 15 min or as long as you want and when ready to serve, put in bowl and add a pat of butter and maybe a little pinch of salt depending on how salty it is already. Thats it ladies it is the easiest soup ever and it taste soooooo yummy!! Remember add any kind of meat and veggies you like its only a method the possibilities are endless!! Enjoy it!! :0)

Oh wanted to let you know my mommy is doing well, we had a scare about a week ago when she was coughing up alot of blood , the doctor says this will probably happen a couple of times a week now, but so far there has’t been another episode…..Thank you Jesus!! She does seem to be tired alot but she is still living her life she just takes brakes to rest!!
